We constantly face the influences of society.  From being told to view the latest “must-see” movie to trendy fashions, everyone is bombarded by advertisements, pop-ups, and fake news articles all designed to make us act or feel in a certain way.  Though greatly accelerated by the internet, the church has always faced these pressures. Christians are called to live in this world but not be part of this world.  In fact, God’s desire for Christians is to be the light of the world.  His plan is for us to influence the world and not be wrongly influenced by the world.  This is not always easy, often unpopular, but extremely needed.
 

A Loving Savior vs Punishment of Hell

How can God, who is supposed to be all loving, send people to Hell? This might be one of the most common objections to the gospel. It can also be one of the more tricky objections to deal with, due to how many incorrect cultural beliefs are held about both Heaven and Hell. When thinking about what Hell is, we often think about the famous medieval paintings and literature such as Dante’s The Divine Comedy (the first part is called Dante’s Inferno).
