The Problem of Suffering

It is a high probability that the greatest reason put forth for rejecting the notion of God comes from the obvious and widespread instances of suffering among humanity.  There are no cultures, groups, or individuals that are immune. Whether experiencing death of a family member, loss of a job, sickness, or tragedy, the feeling of helplessness and depression are all too real. How are we to assess this in light of a supposed loving God? Wouldn’t a loving God see to it that these things were immediately corrected? Or could it be that He simply can’t do anything about them? Here we examine the problem of suffering and how this is inextricably interwoven with the nature of God.
